Large Group Rental Information:
Tarn Outdoor Centre is a unique and superb barn conversion in a traditional Cumbrian hill farm setting with spectacular views over the Uldale valley, Cautley Spout, Wild Boar Fell and the Howgills.

The centre is not equipped with IT equipment (other than wall mounted flat screen) and does not have broadband. Mobile phone reception is reasonable on vodafone and orange.

If you are looking for en-suite rooms and conference facilities then Tarn is not the place.

If you want a group venue away from the office perhaps for a team social/management meet then it is a great venue.

The centre is self catering but you can get taxis to collect/return to various nearby pubs/restaurants within about 5 miles) where group can dine. also, a group can get an outside caterer to do a buffet/lunch etc..

There are local outdoor activity centres that provide do group activities.

The farmstead dates back to the 17th Century and the barn has been recently extended and converted to an exceptional standard whilst maintaining original features and character.

The kitchen/dining room/lounge are set out in the original first floor of the barn. The character of the barn is maintained with exposed beams, stonework and rustic oak floors.

Well equipped kitchen with range cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and all cooking utensils and equipment.

Bedrooms: Two dormitories sleeping 8 people in each (4 bunk beds).

Four bedrooms sleeping 2 people in each (one single over double bunk bed in each room so that they can be used as a double or a twin).

The washrooms are of a high standard with modern facilities. There are 4 male washrooms and 4 female washrooms, comprising of shower, wc and washbasin in each.

Tarn Outdoor Centre is located in South Cumbria Fells (The Howgills), between the Market towns of Kirkby Stephen (7miles to the North) and Sedbergh (5 miles to the South), on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
